Kodak EasyShare C180 Digital Camera (Blue) Reviews

This camera is incredibly easy to use, but offers enough advanced features for the average point-and-shoot user. I bought the camera for my older parents who needed a simple camera. I was choosing between the Kodak M1033 and this camera, but decided to go with this camera because it is slightly easier to use. Kodak describes the C series as a line of easy entry-level cameras, and that’s definitely true.
PROS:
- Easy for first-time digital camera users
- Large LCD screen
- Large amount of megapixels
- Many “scene” settings pre-programmed for different types of shots
- Very low price
- Compact size
- Plug and play sharing via EasyShare
CONS:
- No viewfinder
- M1033 has a couple extra features (i.e., panoramic stitching)
- Uses AA batteries vs. charger (although this is mitigated by a good set of rechargeable batteries
Buy this camera if you’re looking for an affordable, compact, easy to use camera. It will meet the needs of most point-and-shoot users. Do not buy this camera if you’re looking to customize your shots beyond pre-programmed settings (i.e., adjustments in ISO, f-stop, shutter speed, etc.), but that should be self-evident, as this is a point-and-shoot.

Bought this one for my 12yo niece. I try every piece of electronic equipment before I give it. I was surprised. It took me only 2-3 minutes to get familiar with the camera’s operation out of the box (no instruction reading). I found it’s set-up to be very intuitive without the massive confusing menu system of – oh – lets say the CANNON POWERSHOT A560.
Set up the camera mode on a dial switch.
turn flash on/off/auto at a single button.
point-click-picture. And nice ones too.
small problem – the picture stabilization mode only seems to work when the flash is used. When the flash is on, you can violently shake this camera all over the place and it will capture the crispest image when it goes off, even your shoes or ceiling if you’re shaking it that violently.
Using a 4GB sandisk sdhc card, on maximum 10mp, the camera says it will hold just under 2000 pictures on the counter. On minimum 1.2mp setting, the counter stops at 9999. Yes, nine thousand nine hundred ninety nine. The numbers don’t add up to me for MP size and # of photos, but if upscaling is used ( as I’ve read from others) , then these picture quantities do start to make sense.
Between the Cannon power shot and another hard to use upscale Sony camera, both my mother and sister wanted this one for ease of use. What they actually want.
My neice looooooooooooves this camera.
Takes about 45min of video too.
If you want wall sized pictures – this is not for you.
Full page picture – It can handle pretty well.
4×6 memories – I don’t think anyone can go wrong.

Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Black)
It may be the slimmest Digital ELPH Canon has ever created, but the impact couldn’t be bigger. The PowerShot SD780 IS Digital ELPH captivates the senses with bold saturated colors and a daringly original design that matches the intensity of Canon’s most innovative camera technology. Even when picture-taking conditions seem pretty unforgiving, you’ve got Canon on your side. So the shots you used to miss are the images you’ll now be sharing, and the movies you never took before will be HD unforgettable.

Polaroid t1031 10.0 MP Digital Still Camera with 3.0 LCD Display (Orange) Reviews

I just bought this camera, and from what I can tell so far it’s pretty good. Pros:
1.) Takes really clear pictures
2.) Nice BIG screen
3.) comes in a cool color
4.) Plays videos through windows media
Cons:
1.) So far the only thing which isn’t so bad is the shutter-lag. My old Kodak use to take super quick pics, this one is still fast, but not as fast as my old camera.
In general, this is a good camera i would recommend.

I bought this camera for my 14yr old daughter and had it shipped to California for her Christmas present. She loves it! It is easy to use and she likes the big LCD display. I liked the price because my daughter is known to lose things. But she likes it so much she hasn’t lost it yet. I would highly recommend it to someone who wants a small inexpensive easy to use Camera. I ordered the orange caselogic ultra compact case with storage and a sd card to make a total package and my daughter is in digital photo heaven! Plus KUDOs to Amazon, the items shipped quickly and without any errors and well before Christmas day… Loved the whole experience!

Nikon Coolpix L22 12.1MP Digital Camera with 3.6x Optical Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (Red-primary) Reviews

I bought this camera after reading all the + reviews on several web sites. This is a very good camera for the price.
Pro’s: price, simple to use, slips right into you shirt pocket or purse, very good pictures, bright LCD (sorry Kodak), uses AA batteries, good video.
Con’s: none! I highly recommend this camera.

Hubby and I were on vacation when our camera started to act up on us. We went to a chain store we trust and bought this camera based on the Nikon reputation, the fact that it takes AA batteries and uses the same storage media as the one we currently have. That night I checked out the different settings until I became comfortable changing them. While using it both hubby and I found we switched to pix review with our thumbs often. When we got home I downloaded the pix. We’re happy with the ones taken close and on land, but, the ones taken on boats (we went on a couple of sailboats on vacation) and the ones taken at a distance I’m disappointed with. It seems like most of the boat pix are blurry; the seas weren’t choppy. I don’t think this will take good pix at our grandsons ball games, either.
I’m now in the process of researching a camera with some type of stabilization feature and one with a longer optical zoom.

Nikon Coolpix S570 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Black) Reviews

I’ve had a Nikon S510 a while back which I loved, and the Nikon S570 is even better. I like vivid colors, and when set to “vivid”, the Nikon S570 produces photos with beautiful vivid colors and excellent contrast. The wide angle lens has great edge to edge sharpness. The Nikon S570 performs well, probably not the fastest (shutter lag and start-up time), but good nonetheless. The only thing that it’s really slow in is the wait time between shots, which seems to be an eternity. I’ve missed a few shots waiting for the camera to be ready for the next shot. Otherwise, I really love this camera. It’s small and light enough to fit in you pocket, and it takes great pictures. And for it’s price, it’s definitely a great buy.

I made this purchase for my wife for christmas .
Although I bought this some time ago she just opened it for Christmas and she LOVES it!
very easy to use and the quality is great..very light very easy no problems what so ever .
Her hobby is photography so she finds it very easy to use and she knows her numbers and what to set it on so it is one nice little camera for when she dont want to lug around her bigger one. we have read reviews for this camera and we do not find anything wrong with it ..some say it is slow between shots .. My wife does not at all find this camera slow between shots..no way
Some also say its blurry when you playback the photos.. Ours is not blurry at all and I played my photos back on my 32 inch HD TV..they come out clear as a bell.
But some people DO have that problem..here is a solution that my wife says to do….
DO NOT in any way ROTATE your photos from the camera..this could damage the memory chip you have so what we always do is Hook the camera up to the computer then load the shots on to that ..then you can rotate all you want..you will see the difference .
I hope that helps people.
Also..we have no need to use the software for it either.. we just plug the camera to the computer and take my shots off the camera that way (just open the file) ..then I use my own photo sofware .. and Again not a problem at all
The Video is also cute on it..I wouldnt film “important things” such as one time events..but just for quick things..then its good .but thats not what my wife wants to use it for. so we dont mind it .
All in all we are very very happy with this camera.
Thank you
